Medium Banter Presents: The Talk100 Project 1-on-1 Conversations, 100 Messages, Infinite Potential
Introduction
I’ve been having a really nice time of talking to new folks online lately, and I’m inspired to see just how many people out there I can chat up.   and because I’m not really feeling Formspring (or god forbid Omegle), and I can’t … for the life of me figure out the Google Wave, I’ve decided to team up with Medium Banter to present what will be  the greatest talkabout of all time!

What is it?
Casual, enjoyable conversation — plain and simple. And in the spirit of Steve Lambert, I will talk with anyone about anything.
How does it work?
You email me*.  I email you back.   Guaranteed.   [* talk1hundred@gmail.com]
What’s the catch?
The catch is that we keep writing to each other until we hit 100 messages.
Why 100?
Because after 100, gmail cuts us off.
Then what happens?
Then we decide if we like each other enough to keep talking, and/or become friends. You gotta figure, by that point, we should have a good enough feel to make that call.
100 messages seems like a lot.
It’s only 100 total — not each –- so it’s just 50 per person, and there’s no time limit or concern. We could bang these out in two weeks, or it could take us two years. The “in it ‘til 100” clause is really just an agreement that … at some point, we’ll come back to this.
So what do we talk about?
Anything. Everything. It’s completely open.    We can talk about you, we can talk about me*, we can talk about whatever it is you want to talk about.   I’ll do my best to keep up and keep it interesting.
[* if you do choose to talk about me (or if you’d just like to know a little bit about me), feel free to check me out on facebook, tumblr, last.fm, and anywhere else that google points you to (just please keep in mind that this wasn’t me). I’ll even be on twitter (@talk100), with updates, conversation starters, and other pertinent thoughts & questions. Feel free to reference anything you find. And if you want to share a little about yourself, that’d be awesome too.]
I will talk to you all soon, I hope.

(One last thing –- I stink on ice at promotion and/or getting the word out, so please feel free to reblog this, or tell your friends about it, or print out a copy and tape it to the back of an old lady who moves slowly enough through the streets that people passing her can get themselves a good look for reading. I duly appreciate it. Thanks.)
